Thread: 10 yrs from now

I am having both……..that’s why I asked u…..what should I do…… I like both … and I am working in both…. From last 8 years no electrician visited our home.

I don't know what you should do. If I were you, I did the thing I liked most. Both have a good future.

I studied electrical engineering, but I also liked writing software, did some subjects in computer sicence. So I searched for a field in which I could combine hardware-development and software-development and I found the field of embedded systems.

It's good that you have qualified yourself in two different lines. But, its not very easy to find jobs in India. So, you really don't have that kind of a choice. You will HAVE TO go for the Industry that accepts you. It doesn't matter what you like or dislike.

Just b/c more people are taking higher education, doesn't imply that less people will be available for lower things. The percentage increase in the people taking higher education in most countries is still very little as compared to those learning different kinds of trades. Higher education costs high, not many people can afford it. So, there WONT be less people available on the market to do things like assembling circuits, assembling machines etc.

The number of people who can work is increasing. The percentage of those people who have taken higher education is increasing. So the percentage of people who are available for lower things is decreasing. Since the percentage of people who have taken higher education is increasing faster than the number of people who can work is growing, this means that the number of people who are available for doing lower things is decreasing.

But I agree that the number of lower thing work which needs to be done is not increasing. Instead, it is is decreasing because of automation. Though still companies have people at work who do things below their level, could be because of market situation. I'm not very sure about that.

In the Netherlands this is no valid reason. Higher education here is also accessible for people with low budget, that is because our government stimulates people taking the education they can take. If you can't afford higher education, but you have shown you can take higher education, then the government helps you with that.

The main reason for this is that the percentage of older people in this country is increasing fast. When they leave their companies, a large gap will come. So by stimulating people to take the highest education they can take, the government hopes these gaps can be filled.
