and with no control, browser written in C++. C# is pretty
the same, these are 'web languages'.
You are talking about applets in Java. A small part of the language,
a feature if you want. It's not even possible to run a C# app in a browser.
You can write 'codebehind' classes for aspx in C# just as in VB or Javascript.
But even then, if you had read about it you would know that C# is even in
this case a server side language. Not client side ( browser ).
Almost every app that can be written in C++ can be written in C#.
C++ will be faster at runtime, while C# will be faster in development.
Same as C++ vs VB... just with a nicer language.

It's a little bit difficult for me to write programs in C# since I do't have VS.NET but that doesn't mean that I don't know anything about it. I'm currently reading through a tutorial which I have provided links for throughout my previous posts. Maybe we should all not talk about something that we don't know anything about, especially each other.*I* have. And I encourage all of you to do so, too.

I don't really mean to be a grouch, but the answers to these questions escape people because of laziness ( or bad genes ), and my opinion I don't think we should encourage laziness. We're powerless to affect the gene problem...

Why don't you just order it at Microsofts Developer store site. You only have to pay the postage and get 4 cd's (containing VC++7.0.net,VB.net and C#.net amongst others).MS's webpage says September versions of some magazines will have VS.NET Beta 2 in them - anyone hear of any other ones that will?
I don't think there can be much demand for them, though, as MS were saying that there would be delays for international orders but mine came within a week.
I actually went out and bought a Visual Studio developer's magazine that came with all that on DVD...
