3 times :( Once in Baltimore in a parking garage on the way to my ex's party (that was a BAD nite)... once with my ex at a family picnic, and finally with my current gf at a restruant... all 3 were because we sat in the car after i turned it off...

HOw much would a locksmith hypothetically charge to get my keys out if I hypothetically locked them in?
hypothetically a lot more than AAA ;) But most likely in the neighborhood of 40-50 bucks...

Let's pretend, for a moment, that I got to work this morning and clipped my new cell phone to my belt and left my keys sitting on the passenger seat. Now, let's pretend that that really happened.

can you get to your lock from the top down? (ie. if you got a slight opening at the top of your door, could you put something down through the top and hit an automatic lock button?)

I've seen them put a small wedge in the top of the door just enough to kinda "bend" it open so they could stick a small wire down through it... pretty slick, that's why i asked.
What did I do? Played some old UT... finished downloading a 130mb Service Pack for Visual Studio... ..... yeah, pretty much sat on my ass...
