hey...thats pretty cool...i wanna use it for a background on my webpage...
please be more descriptive and intuitive [hopefully] then 'cool' or 'neato'... thank you!

Hey, that's awesome! The reason being is because of unorganization. If you look at the image, it clearly shows the ability of the programming mind to have all but an artistic ablility. I just doesn't appear in the left side of the brain. We are left-sided.
I see confusion. Do you have a girl? I seem to get a positive reaction off of this confusion. I see no negativity in this image and I find a confusingly confused confusion as I stare blankly at this...this...masterpiece. Just amazing! Truly amazing!

cool garfield thanks! i worked so hard on this. i don't think this was exactly the vision i had, but i am so pleased with it just the same. programming _can_ be art!!!
oh, well sort of... the thing with this jumble is that... in order to make my routines 'quick' enough, i just didn't re update the background gfx while displaying the new text overlay... coincidentally this rocks! eh, wait a couple of frames and the screen clears up... and you see the entry...
i hope this inspires other programmers to use their programming swords to as art... you really can... the display is your canvas...
this one is just pixelization... fuzzing... 'burned' in text overlay... and my plaid [ie flannel] bg drawing function... coincidentally, this one was originally 4 times the size... but i had to shrink it to get under the file limit... but it's to be blown up twice in each dimension...
i'd like to see some of your visions too!

That's some nice work there da. Keep it up. Just a q - was it meant to symbolise or mean something more that what just being a piece of programming art?
hmmm... well...
the whole thing changes and morphs... and if i invert the colors, it's more positive... and bright... and i can do all sorts of weirdo things with it... it... i don't know what it represents... maybe the tumult of life... [and it's, ironically, the representation of the journal which is my life...]
so yeah... that... is that good?
it's... it's thimble...

So wait... What is it? Like a program or something?
If it is... Wow! I want to see it run. Can the
exe be downloaded? Are you willing to give out
the source?
Staying away from General.
it is a program... hmm... i dont' know.........
i won't give the source... but i would like to make a small demo for you all... maybe... we'll see... if i have time...
realize that i've been on this for the past three months... and, for that matter, the last 13 seasons... so...

I see two ibm punch cards! Tears of remembrance well up
in my eyes. Quickly I close the image before the deluge can
short out my keyboard...Whew...I'm better, now. Composing
myself.
Okay. Now, da, which art program did you use? I'm going to
chuck every one of mine, and use yours.

No. Wait. Don't hang up!
This is America calling!
So, this is a program? Post a screenshot of the program.

no this wasn't constructed with an art program. i made this program and all the wierdo effects by hand...
don't worry, i'll get a demo up... eventually... it's just that i never thought i'd get this kind of responce... my brother, father, and i are all musicians... my brother got into web designing and has made some really neat stuff... it inspired me to do my own art, but to wield C++ instead of flash... and here it lies...
again, here's all what it basically is...
1.) a text overlay [with colors] that's 'burned' into the background...
2.) fuzzing... [my own, unfortunately too slow... routine...]
3.) the plaid background function thingy...
4.) pixelization...
i just scrolled through some entries... burning them in as we went along... and pixelized it in my updating routine... it's really not all that complicated... but i hope it inspires us all...
oh, and garfield... this _is_ a screen shot of the program!
it's main use is a journal... and i got so involved in it that i had to make cool graphics and stuff like that. i'm glad you all think it's random gibberish... that's the effect i was trying to make... i guess, though, that staring at the screen for so long doesn't make it as exciting for me... but soon's i make it automatically take periodic screenshots, and have random wallpapers... oh yeah...

That's really cool that you wrote your own drawing routines. It's really neat, except the colors TOTALLY clash with the rest of my desktop sorry...
