Civilization 1/2 - both are INCREDIBLY addictive. I have played these for hours on end. I have not played 3...but I must get it very soon...i am yearning for that game. This is a must have for everybody.
I know that quite a few people who enjoyed the previous Civ games, myself included, don't particularly like Civ3. Then again there are obviously many many others who do like Civ3. Btw, Civ3: Play the Wolrd (the expansion pack for the game) is going to be coming out this fall.

No prob Kyle maybe it was just being odd that one time...whatever. And I know what you mean about not complaining about free bandwidth . I just hate pop ups but I know that it isn't your fault so it doesn't matter.

I'm sorry SilentStrike, but Quake 3 should rank
    higher than Unreal Tournament. Common mistake;
    no need to feel ashamed...

    Here are mine:

    PC:
    1.Tribes.
    2.Return to Castle Wolfenstein
    3.Warcraft III

    Console:
    1.Xenogears.
    2.Twisted Metal: Black
    3.Eternal Darkness
    4.Resident Evil: Gamecube.

    -Ancient Dungeons Of Mistery (ADOM)
    -Liero

    SNES
    -Chrono Trigger*
    -Killer Instinct

    ARCADE
    -Xmen Children Of The Atom
    -Area 51

    Worst Game EVER:
Inindo: The Way Of The Ninja (SNES - RPG)

*FOR GOD'S SAKE!! How is it that i'm the first one to mention CHRONO TRIGGER!! That's beyond the slightest shadow of a doubt THE BEST RPG for SNES.

God damn! I cannot even come close to winning in Civ3, it's on the easiest setting too! I was good at Civ1, but this one I can't frigging grasp. I just finished playing a game... and getting crushed by the COMPUTER over and over again... frustrating.

D-C, you oughta go back to Civ2. Tonight I just played my first game of it since last summer, and it has been so much more fun than Civ3 ever was for me. Playing the game I realize that there are so many poor game decisions with Civ3. Civ2 is the best game ever, and I dare someone to prove otherwise!

I played them all.. civ, civ2, ctp, ctp2, civ3. Civ3 is the best. Control zones, influence, good AI, good alliances & politics... not to mention cultural influence. Civ3 rox ! I haven't won a game on the third level yet, but I don't have time for playing really...

Thing about civ 3 is the worker AI is poor, once you have a reasonably big civilisation and generate polution all 500 of your workers walk towards the same patch of polution and so all them end up continually crossing the screen, grrrr.

uhm, I beg to differ. The A.I. never sends more than 2 workers to do the same task. This can be annoying, too, but it's not that bad.

Ok this order of this chnages drastically with my mood but....

    1. Mechwarrior 2 (which was revolutionary, best multi-player too)
    2. Civ2
    3. Half-Life (and all mods, particuarly TFC and CS)
    4. Baldur's Gate II
    5. Deus Ex (which os going to make an incredable movie
    6. Warcraft II

America's Army: Operations could evetually make this list....once I get a computer that can run it at something faster than 10 fps lol.

Oh hmmm, maybe my version is bugged, all my workers get sent to the same place.
