    >>Funny, in almost every single post you make it a
    >>point to insult someone.

Amishboy isn't an insult. If you're still using
a kettle to make coffee... Besides, I love the
    amish. They're so cool.

But yeah, you're right. I should apologize to Clyde...

I'm sorry, Clyde. My anger was wrongfully directed
at you. It should've been directed at Dual-Catfish.
I thought a post he made was made by you. He was
the one who 'handed me a sign.' And that was the
    first insult...

Lets not let this thread turn into who insulted who and who first and what for. Also lets try to put and end to the name calling.

    >>Jeez, get a Coffee Maker, Amishboy

A lot of people prefer to do it themselves as some prefer the added control and will tell you that it makes better coffee. I'm not that much of a coffee addict but theres plenty of other reasons for not having a coffee maker anyhow. I dont have one. Dont drink enough of it to make it worth buying one.

    >>If I spilled that kind of coffee on my groin, I'd sue them also.

So who would you sue if your friend makes you a cup and you spill it on yourself?

    >>Most of you people need become less-obsessed with Lightatdawn.

Though I'm honoured that you think I'm so 'admired', I would really appreciate it if you kept these kind of comments to yourself. Though I'm not easily offended I find it irritating that you attempt to demean other people in this thread who have an alternate point to you own.

    >>I can't lock it, but my vicious guard seals will keep you away.

Full time seal guards?! Damn you. I can only afford the part-time patrolling rent-an-eskimo.

    >>First of all, I'm not your friend.

Sure, whatever you say, bud. You're just in denial.

Here's the real problem. Each and every one of you
formed an opinion of the case before you actually
knew the facts. None of you knew that she had
to have surgery, that she had $20,000 in medical
expenses, that McDonalds knew the coffee was too
    hot to drink...

You all stated your opinions before knowing the
facts. God forbid that any of you super elite,
highly intelligent programmers be wrong. You people
can't handle that can you? Nope, your intelligence
is all you have. You can't let some nobody take
that away from you. This is why you're all saying
the exact same thing. You're all too arrogant.

Here, I'll make it easy for you. Hopefully this
will put this stupid thread to an end (Jesus, I
can't believe I'm wasting my prescious television-
watching time arguing about Mcdonalds; a place that
    I don't even eat at)...

...I'm wrong. You're all right. You're all Gods.
You're the smartest people alive. Nerds rule! One
day you'll take over the planet and be the boss
of everyone who ever disagreed with you.

I'm done with this thread. I prefer Dr. Pepper
for my Caffeine addiction, anyway. Damnit! I just
spilled it all over my desk!..

    >>God forbid that any of you super elite, highly intelligent programmers be wrong

You know, you're the only one claiming this. Nobody else [in this thread] has even hinted at the fact that they are superior [to you].

    >>You're all too arrogant.

I can make assumptions about you too. Whether they are true or not would be a little more difficult to prove.

    >>and be the boss of everyone who ever disagreed with you.

I dont understand why you're taking this personally. I'm disagreeing with your opinion, I'm not making attacks upon your character.

    >>Mcdonalds; a place that I don't even eat at

    Dito. Never have. Never will.

Wow, you sound kind of sensitive on the subject ethic. Wasn't you was it?

It is the general attitude of this board. Everybody
thinks they're smarter than everybody else. They
use the topic of intelligence as a way to demean
other, not-so-intelligent people (like moi). It's
no different than making fun of somebody because
they're ugly, too fat, too skinny, or even a
different race. It's another form of segregation.
It's what this thread, as well as the "stupid
people should wear signs" thread is trying to
accomplish. It just gets annoying after a while.

I hate this stupid world. I wish people weren't
judged on stupid things like personality, appearance,
intelligence, or wealth. But rather things that
actually matter, like one's ability to frag others
in a nice game of Deathmatch.

    >They [McDs} served a dangerous product.
One could argue that all McDonald's products are dangerous in some form.

After reading this entire thread, I've come to the conclusion that you are all wrong and right at the same time. The truth is usually somewhere in the middle and each side of this argument is at the very extreme. This is my opinion and not an attack aimed at anyone, so please hold back the flames. People are stupid, companies are greedy, these are definitely good incredients for a lawsuit. Most of the time both parties are in the wrong in some fashion. (with the exception of the guy who used the lawn mower on the hedges)

Well at least I've managed to avoid blows by both parties... I just want to sue GE for goodness' sake, what's wrong with that?

Look, sorry about the sign thing, I didn't mean to offend you with it.

"It is the general attitude of this board. Everybody thinks they're smarter than everybody else."

No, it's just every second post is a debate, you're supposed to look smarter (act smarter, be smarter) then the other party in a debate.

Again, I say supposed because I cannot comprehend what an idiot is capable of.

Wow, amzing if I made cofee or tea at home then I would need surgery if I spilled it on my self. How much her medical expenses where does not matter. The cup should have been in a cup holder, and the chance that her car does not have any she could have asked for one.

Exactly! You have to really wonder whether these people are true idiots, or geniuses willing to endure a bit of pain

Its not 100% the individual that I blame. I blame a legal system that allows people to be help responsible for events beyond their influence. But in turn this system was created by the people and so in the end there really is only people to blame.

    >>After reading this entire thread, I've come to the conclusion that you are all wrong and right at the same time.

As is usually the case. Both sides of any discussion have points to make. If they didnt it wouldnt be a discussion.

    >>This is my opinion and not an attack aimed at anyone

It is unfortunate that you/we should ever have to state this. However, the truth is that we do. Its still too bad though.

    >>if your succesfull in suing some company for loads of money are you the stupid one?
No. But you are taking advantage of somebody. I find it highly immoral. If you find a wallet on the street with somebodies name and number in it with a bunch of money, what do you do? The kind of people that sue for their own stupid actions, are the kind of people that would take the money and likely drop the wallet in the first ditch they found. Its abhorant. This is why theres so many laws and rules and warnings and people to enforce them. Its because very few people seem to be able to police themselves. When it comes down to a moral dilema and nobodies looking, too many people grab the goods and run.

    Ethic:

    >>I hate this stupid world.

Now you sound like Series. You really dont want to sound like Series.

    >>I wish people weren't judged on stupid things like personality, appearance, intelligence, or wealth

I personally judge on a combination of intelligence, personality, and an ellusive trait called charisma.

    >>It is the general attitude of this board. Everybody thinks they're smarter than everybody else.

Havent really noticed that. I have noticed that everyone has an opinion. I count that as a good thing though.

    So, hey; Peace. *offers hand*
