I personally prefer first-person-perspective kind of games. One game i'm playing now is Jedi Knight 2 (but it's getting boring as time goes on..). I normally don't have the patience to play rpg games. but........Final Fantasy series is differrent. I played FF8 from beginning to end getting every gf.

JK2 ROCKS!! That was definately a change of pace from normal games... and the detail was just spectacular. But I agree... it is getting kinda old now. I thought the single player was quite good, by the way.

I love this game, I got my "+3 gloves of not doing what I should be doing", on right now. In a way I wish it hadn't come out. I haven't wasted this much time since BGII..

Now where is my magic bag? ..

Since im used to the BG seriese, is NWN much different rules wise (as I think its based on 3rd edition D&D, as opposed to 2nd in BG(2))?

Well, the rules changed completely from 2nd to 3rd... There's no such thing as THAC0 now, ACs are totally different (high AC is good now), among other things. But a dragon will still kick your ass

Yeah, the rules have changed quite a bit - but it still FEELS like BG. The atmosphere is thick, great sound effects and music. Very epic. It takes a little while to get used to the high AC and the feats system etc. But it is easily the best game I have played this year.. (actually ever )

Been on a LAN party all weekend playing NWN.

Had to get a new GForce4 4200Ti to see the great effects.

    Cool ...

I personally prefer playing good old D&D. The fun you have when hanging out with your friends is something a game will never give you. And if on top of hanging out your trying to play D&D it's sooo much the better. Heheh! There's always one of the group who has some comment/joke/... to say. It's hilarious, really!

And besides... what could possibly be better than rolling dice?

    PS: Don't answer that!
Do you know how contemptous they are of you?

That's the whole point of NWN, though - it's the first D&D game to try to recreate the pen and paper experience... You can desigin your own quests and things with the toolset, network your computers, set someone up as the DM (who can shange basically whatever he wants on the fly... There's even a button he can press to kill munchkins instantly)... It's pen and paper... without the pen and paper.
