Do I have to register my toilet and upgrade every time I want to take a shi*? Do I have to buy a new set of shoes every time I want to go for a walk? WTF?

It's just going to drive more people into the piracy business.
There is nothing, and I emphasize the nothing, that Microsoft
makes that can't be hacked. And the proof of this is Windows
XP Pro, which has already been posted on the Internet for
    free download.

Somebody here said recently they hope MS wasn't shooting
themselves in the foot with its new policy of registering before
they received a software key. Well, they not only shot their
foot off, they might have shot off an ankle and calf as well.

    No. Wait. Don't hang up!

Hey guys, it's nice this all makes you angry, but you know what? I wish you'd be living in a country like CR. To buy a single MS Office 2000, an average citizen (with average salary) needs to pay all the money he earns in two months (and maybe eat some air and live on a street during them). In fact, the only one who is buying software from software dealers here are organizations as they simply have to because of the law. And besides, maybe some 5% of people with enough money. Even schools can't afford multi-licenses. And I tell you, we are relatively rich country (compared to eastern countries, Russia, etc.).
    Please excuse my poor english...

y'know i've always wondered how they do stuff like that... y'know, one time installing... especially when you, for example, reformat and reinstall the OS... i could see how if you upgraded a product, since you could save info on the HD in some obsecure windows place... but how about the reformat? and how do they save your options?! wow...

I'm still using Office 2000. I paid about $450 USD for it. I have absolutely no desire what so ever to get Office XP. No way in hell.

In addition. I don't want WinXP either. Win2k is just fine. I'll gladly skip both.

Ditto....they do me fine for the moment...

I cant understand M$'s plans with anticopyright.....they seem obsessed with this issue, but their actions will only make it worse....

There are people I know of who make a fortune from copying programs like Windows, office and Photoshop....and this will just make their customer base bigger....rick is right when he says that M$ can not produce anything that cant be cracked and so the option of getting an illeagal disk for say 20 which you can put on any computer is really appealling to people who would otherwise have paid top whack for their software....
