AT the hole where he went in
    Red-Eye called to Wrinkle-Skin.
    Hear what little Red-Eye saith:
'Nag, come up and dance with death !'

Eye to eye and head to head,
    (Keep the measure, Nag.)
This shall end when one is dead:
    (At thy pleasure, Nag.)

Turn for turn and twist for twist
    (Run and hide thee, Nag.)
Hah ! The hooded Death has missed !
    (Woe betide thee, Nag.)

yeah im totally ubsessed with snakes...i've spent over 150 bucks on a 40 gallon tank with many many many toys and accessories for my python...did i mention he went to the forth of july with me and saw fireworks. I just loved wrapping those glow band things around him and putting him around my neck. So fun. He went after the bunnies at the petting center for little children, though

//edit: ya know what, i feel like putting up the movie i made for him. anyone interested?

    Xterria.......its for u..!

In India Nagpanchami is a festival in honour of Snakes celebrated on the fifth day of the month of Shravan according to the Hindu Calendar. By the English Calendar, the festival falls on August 4, this year.
People visit the temple on this day to worship snakes and also Lord Shiva to whom snakes are very dear. This can be seen by the way he (Lord Shiva) is always depicted with a snake coiled around his neck.
Legend has it that the festival was started to appease the snakes in the monsoon season to prevent them from biting people. The monsoons cause all types of snakes to come out of their underground chambers into the world we tread on. Mortality from snakebites is believed to have prompted people to worship the 'Nag' (snake).
It is one of the most ancient fasts finding a mention in the Puranas. It is also considered a very auspicious day in the Hindu year.
