I dont know if its anygood its called "Mastering Visual C++ 6 by Michael J. Young" It sais its ment for begginers on up, has anyone read this book? If so can you tell me if its anygood?
Why buying books when you can borrow from library?
If you've already bought it, isn't it a bit late to be asking if it is any good?
Before buying any book, I always read the reviews at Amazon for example - after a while, you get to know what is likely to be good and what are simply crap reviewers.

I recently bought "Effective STL", and "Modern C++ Design". I am around page 100 on Effective STL, and have yet to really look in Modern C++ Design.
Both got pretty nice reviews.
I wish these books were at my library. Too bad my library pretty much sucks for anything beyond beginner's programming books (although I did pick up "Thinking In Java" my library), which was nice, if not terribly advanced.
