Also in Dutch more and more English words are used as if they were Dutch. Sometimes even Dutch grammar is applied to English words.

Especially in fields where a lot of English words are used, like in information technology and also in management, English words replace the Dutch words. But it has also to do with TV, people hear a lot of words on TV which they take over and use in their own speaking.

english has a much bigger technical base than other languages.

Another interesting fact is the similarity between the names "Ireland" and "Iran". They both have "ir", which means noble. So Ireland and Iran are mean land of the nobles. In the past, Iran was called Ayran, it was the country of the Aryans. Also there is a similarity between the words "ir", "eer" and "Ehre", which all seem to be the same. The words "eer" and "Ehre" are German, but the word "Ir"? Is it from Persia? If so, how came it to Ireland? Hmmm, interesting.
