    ascii????

    THis is just a question out of curiosity. Since ascii is an american standard, are there any other countries out there that use ascii. If not what does your country use?

    I don't know about other standards. It would be very frustrating if every country had their own standard, because then our software had to support a lot of standards. ASCII is a global standard.

    I knew there was ansi and unicode and stuff like that which is more standardized throughout the world, but i didn't know ascii was. But ascii just holds the american/english alphabet right? Just correct me and slap me if i'm wrong.

    ASCII Also holds many characters not part of the english alphabet. Check www. asciitable.com if you would to see for yourself. Unicode is the upcoming standard... i'm seeing a lot more now than I used to.
