just wondering, if so then if you know my aim and, well, associate with me then reveal yourself! it's really fun to learn new tricks, or... in my case, your first few tricks... bye bye now...

*Tries to think of one single surfer he knows who isn't doped up* ... *can't*

*Tries to think of one single skater he knows who isn't doped up* ... *also can't* ... hmmm

    >>Surfing kicks skating's ass!

IMO skating wins over surfing so ... And snowboarding kicks the living crap out of both of them hands down.

I have a newfound respect for you DA! (not that I didn't respect you before )

My son (7) just started skating a few months back and he and I skate at least 5 days a week. We just got the Transworld SightUnseen video (I don't buy too many vid's, so I'm playing catch up) and it's pretty sick. Dustin Dollin rips!! and Cardiel is sick.

I never really had a lot of tricks consistantly. I love gaps and big ollies, heelflips, 3-flips, pop-shuvits (b/s), manuals and a handful of nollie tricks. As old as I am ( OLD ) I'm happy just to skate period!

The most fun I've had lately was just teaching my son how to ollie and do some basic curb tricks ( 50-50s and old school boardslides ). It's cool to see him learn and the fun he has. Plus the it's so awesome to share a hobby with your child. A great way to build a bond.

oh btw, i have a used setup. a geoff rowley hellcat with tensor lows [no risers, do i need those for flexibility?] hm, stock UBS bearings and, well i guess that's it... the deck is really worn out, shucks... if i really start this and get into it alot i'm gonna invest in a new deck. we shall see.

Ya, good luck. When I used to drop into a store or someplace with my board I'd practically get followed around the store. People would be watching me all the time but I'd rarely get someone asking me if i needed anything. ... Now when I stopped back into that same store all decked out and ready to hit the clubs or something, there'd be 5 people trying to kiss my feet. Says a lot to me about a place and about people.

(Side Note: Never got all that good at boarding. Lots of injuries, very few successes. I'm too damn tall.)

I've skated for about 8 years now. I used to skate for a local board shop when I lived in Florida. Anyways, blank decks usually run anywhere from $20.00 - $30.00. I hope you stick with it, it's a lot of fun. Oh yeah, next time I see you on AIM, I'll say whats up. Oh, I have a few tricks on tape, maybe one day I'll upload them.

Well, I must admit that my firend (my ex friend, that is) tried to get me into skating. He tried to teach me how to do some simple trick, but being too tall/unko, I completely ..........*d it up and his board went under a car and it got smashed to pieces

    >>*Tries to think of one single surfer he knows who isn't doped up* ... *can't*

I said that the act of surfing than the act of skating, not the actual people. I think they are both doped-up and are dumb

That's what I'm talking about! CCS blank 8x32, Venture Lo's, Spitfire wheels with Bones Swiss bearings. CCS blanks have really good pop. My son rides almost the exact same setup, except he's got a CCS 6-ply mini-deck (7x29) with Indy bearings.
