    Moon hoax?

I'm asking this because I'm kind of curious, someone said about 20% of Americans beleive they didn't go to the moon. I wonder if that's accurate, and why don't people think so?

We haven't discussed this one in a while. I think I started it last time when I researched this.

    Yep I did

I still think that you can't prove it one way or another so who knows.

As I stated in the old thread (please nobody dig it up, please!): You have to ask yourself 'Why?' Why would it be hoaxed? And then 'How?'

The three popular theories as to why as stated in the old thread
Money...they got over 30 BILLION to do it......

The space race with the Russians....we wanted to be first really bad.... and it gave Americans a lot of pride to be first

To take the focus off of the Vietnam war ....we stopped going to the moon right around the same time the war ended
How? If they did all it would take was a nice little sound stage and some props and a massive cover up. That simple

And ditto .....don't drag up that old thread..I just put it there for reference.

Okay, I didn't realize this had already been covered, so I won't go bringing up all the old arguments again, but heres an interesting website I found:

I still believe that faking it and covering it up, (concerning the number of people that would need to be involved), would be more difficult than the action itself.

One thing is that NASA would have to be pretty darn stupid to have all that brought up "evidence" by hoaxers be true...

anything for ratings.... it's pathetic really, shame on FOX

it just doesn't make logical sense, NASA, whom brought us many technological advancements would FAKE a moon landing? NASA and the space program earned my respect, and I don't think they would let themselves get into a hoax of that magnitude, especially when you are dealing with the mentality of the people. (imagine what it would have been like if this "evidence" was brought up a week after the landing) The hoax of the century - exposed by the FOX network and forgotten a month later? Gimmie a break!

i don't think it was started by fox, but it might as well been

remember, we landed on the bright side of the moon. that means we can see it from earth. find a telescope, and look it up. (literally)

Like I said before, I have no opinion on this subject one way or the other, but I know for a fact that there is no one at the fox network intelligent enough to come up with this story. And yes, people have been saying that it was faked since the day of the landings. When I say people, I am not talking about just some conspiracy theorists, I am talking about scientists who know a little bit more about this stuff than we do.

Ever wonder why Russia didn't go to the moon? Cosmonauts had never laughed as hard as they did that day.

Easy, heat needs air as a medium to travel through space.

I'd just like to say I widthdraw my statements......

however, I am curious as to how some people explain the rocks brought back, MANY geologists have examined the rocks and concluded that they are 100% non-terrestrial, and could not have been man-made as they showed evidence of billions of years of exposure to a vacuum, high energy cosmic rays, tiny asteroids, and virtually no water... nothing could replicate these rocks
