Alright, we've done books, we've done music, we've done OS's, we've done lotsa stuff. I've never seen movies, though.

What's everyone's favorite movies (almost put a u in favorites again. Damn you Europeans!)

as an aside I wasn't too impressed with high fidelity because in the book its set in london and the film is set in chicago but otherwise i was very impressed with the way it followed the book.It seems to me that whenever a film is made from a book the whole bloody story gets changed..... take a look at hannibal.

Seen most o' those - they all seem to be fine with me (like they have to meet my criteria or something)

I like this: highlander (the first one). How could the first one been so cool and every one after that be so bad (actually the last one doesn't suck *that* bad)?

What's wrong with High Fidelity being in Chicago. I also liked how close it was to the book - 'cept I wish they would have left in the scene where Rob buys the rare records. It's in the deleted scenes, but not the actual film.

yes you are right.... highlander3 didn't suck but it didn't follow the storyline of the first one.....

i.e. how could duncan macloud have won the prize if there was still an immortal left.

there is a new highlander film in the video store now starring christopher lambert and adrian paul (the guy from highlander the series) but am yet to see it.Always seem to find something else that looks better......

saw a film called sole survivor a couple of weeks ago and that was superb.

Actually, s_c the one in the video store is the one I was talking about... The ending's pretty dumb, but other than that I really liked it.

I haven't seen the 3rd one, now that I think about it.

That I forgot Trainspotting in my list makes me feel unworthy of being alive. What a great, great film.

Personal taste is just that- personal.

But I have to say something. Really- I am physically incapable of passing this by.

Starship Troopers is well, how can you say it?, an abomination. It is heresy at its worst. I would say that it meets the criteria of pornography. (No redeeming value whatsoever in there)

Read the book- read it many times. It is one of my favorites- if not my single favorite (it is in a tie w/The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, also by RAH) sci fi book. It is an incredible piece of work.

The film well that's a piece of something too.
