Thread: Another reason to not like America

We have people here like you... Nazi's, Clan, Biggots, etc. All people with unfounded reasons to discriminate and hate people because of there ideals, race, politics, and affiliations.

I think some politicians see the International Court as a chance for several "dislikeable" countries (i.e., ones that disagree with the U.S.) to combine against the U.S. with "false allegations." They also have a feeling that those tried may not be guaranteed the rights U.S. citizens have come to expect when charged with criminal conduct: These rights are, namely, (1) the right of innocence until guilt is proven beyond a reasonable doubt, (2) the right to refuse to incriminate oneself, (3) the right to a fair and impartial trial by jury from among one's peers, etc. What's the chance that the likes of Iraq, China, or some other country might decide to vote by political feelings instead of with impartiality?

This is hardly a reason to not like (i.e., hate) America; the United States is only trying to preserve its rights and the rights of its citizens.

If you have oposing politicians in America do they try by dishonest means to demolish oposition with false allegations? Oh yeah, sorry I forgot, but generally they don't, right?

If you step out of your padded cell for a while you might notice that a substantial proportion of the world is trying to do the same thing, with more or less the same basic values (this doesn't mean that they agree with everything though). I think you overestimate anybody who thinks they are in some way going to corrupt you.

I doubt anybody here hates America (unless we have some of those nasty extremists). It's just some people appear to get annoyed by some of your attitudes towards the rest of the world. The ICC may well be a pile of ****, but some of your presumptions seem to be just as ****.

I am talking about the fact that Shiro went so far as to Assume and accuse the US that we are conspiring to commit the actions of Hitler; hence conspiracy theory, also a decent movie by Kurt Russel.

I can't speak for Shiros intentions, but if you are going to follow this logic then

Any male involved in a fight == violence

therefore

Any male involved in a fight == Hitler

Yes...everyone gets one vote and who's going to have our back? Europe? I don't really have any confidence in the countries of Europe. GB is the only who is truly trustworthy. It seems every other county would be happy to offer support, but then shrink away when it starts to get nasty...Israel/Palestine crisis for example....where was everybody there? Most of Europe is all talk and little action...

Again look at Iraq...the same people who object to more weapons inspectors are going to object to a Criminal trial of an iraqi for arms violations (or whatever BS law they come up with)...it's hardly going to be a smooth operation...

Shiro, no offense to you, but can you tell me the last time the US invaded someone and stayed there keeping the land? Also, feel free to research something called the Truman Doctrine. It is a US policy that would definately stop us from invading any country that wasn't an imminent threat to our security.
