The site isn't working. I was going to post this there:

In the windows MD5 program, I created a sum for the file valhalla-i386-disc1.iso.
It didn't detect any errors, and it made a file with a .md5 extension. I than was able to open that file it created and verify the sums. My problem is that I'm trying to understand what is happening. Shouldn't the ftp site supply the .md5 file in order to check it against my downloaded .iso files? I don't understand how it works. The only thing I'm going by is that I performed both of the operations that the utility offers and it didn't register any errors. Theres a guage that says Error (0 so far). And it stayed at 0. It's just that I don't understand if I did it right. What do I do with the .md5 file that it created?
So I'll post it here instead. Anyone know how to use MD5 Sums?
