    a simple fact about chess

    chess is all about female supremacy.
    though the king is the most important piece on the board, the queen wields the most power.
    the king is whipped.

    but without the king she is nothing!

    then again, was this not so in many kingdoms?

    Speaking as a good chess player----if the Queen doesnt behave, she will get her head chopped off. Oh, and she may have a greater power in long range stuff, but can she castle? nope....so she cant escape danger and put herself safe in one fell swoop ? Nope. Even pawns have the power of en-passant...the mighty queen should bow down whilst she has the chance.
    Such is life.

    what i like about the queen, is how people play her. she's always both the linch pin and the #1 cause for floundering a match. i think of her as the juno of chess

    For some reason, the Queen in chess reminds me more of a Janet Reno type piece.

    ...I would truly hate to pick YOUR brain
    Code:
    #include <cmath>
    #include <complex>
    bool euler_flip(bool value)
    {
        return std::pow
        (
            std::complex<float>(std::exp(1.0)),
            std::complex<float>(0, 1)
            * std::complex<float>(std::atan(1.0)
            *(1 << (value + 2)))
        ).real() < 0;
    }

    Must get back into regular chess. I've only tended to play shotglass chess, or Nightmare chess (by Steve Jackson Games, but is just a modern interpretation of a French variation), but never Nightmare Shotglass chess, which would probably just result in a visit to A&E.

    Never though of it as symbol of female empowerment though.
    Lead me not into temptation... I can find it myself.

    i beg to disagree
    the strongest attacking piece on the board : pawn
    the strongest defensive piece on the board: pawn
    most important piece on the board: pawns

    queen has to run away when attacked. queen cannot be used as a good supporting piece - it always has to be the last piece to attack for fear of being captured... pawns can protect each other and go the distance. there are 8 pawns so one pawn captured is no big loss. if you attack any piece with a supported pawn, they have to move away .{period}

    Yes, yes... Someone is correct there that pawns is the most powerful piece in the game. What's so great about the queen? Is it without the queen you can't win the game?

    You see, a combination of perhaps knight and bishop is a few times more powerful than the "female supremacy"...
