    Hi

    Anyone know why or can they guess how long it will take to map the human DNA.

    I mean we have so much more powerfull computers today,
    so what gives??

    Or has this already been done!

    I think it was 1 or 1.5 years of constant mapping... but if not then those were earlier computers. Human DNA is not that complex, compared to certain DNA found in bacteria and stuff.

    I think it was called the genome project and is now complete or almost complete.
