Rick Wakeman and Emerson, Lake and Palmer are good to listen to when you can't concentrate in my opinion.

Led Zeppelin I just *have* to give my full attention.

C.M. helps me a lot when I want to concentrate on something,
or if I just want to filter out noise and go to sleep. It serves a
    definite useful purpose.

love baroque music, just love it.
    j.s. bach is the greatest.
the problem is that when i listen to baroque i cannot consentrate
to anything else...it is so gloriously complicated

Yeah Baroque music doesn't really suit as 'background music'.

    You just *have* to listen.
