"It is entertainment and has been throughout all of history."

Bollocks; world war one was not "entertainment", neither was world war two, nor any other war. Only a psycho gets enjoyment out of damaging other human beings.

"I assure you... yours is no great insight..."

    Correct, mine is common sense.

"You are playing your pacifism side. I am playing good. Bad wants to kill you. I capture bad"

Morality is not absolute. The people you consider "bad", consider themselves "good" and you "bad".

"but don't be a fool and think the game does not exist and will go "

There is no game, life is NOT a game, games have rules, life does not.

"War is a matter of vital importance to the state; a matter of life or death, the road either to survival or to ruin. Hence, it is imperative that it be studied thoroughly."

As i said it is a necessity in todays day and age, a necessary evil, and one that hopefully will die out.

"I wonder if you could even imagine how much this action tells me about you... "

Oh please do enlighten me, what exactly can you tell?

    anyone who finds war entertaining...

anyone who finds war entertaining is sick. Period.

none of the veterans i've talked to including my own grandpappy, have ever described the experience of war entertaining. boring 99% of the time, and 1% sheer terror....most have tended to be damaged in some way. my granddad woke up with nightmares continually for the rest of his life. (he served 1939 to 1946 and only came home 3 times for a few weeks in all that time). and suffered from malaria intermittently for the rest of his life. also developed diabetes due to malaria.

he didn't have much fun in the war, but at least HE made it back home

neither did my dads uncle who was sunk three times, once by his own side..

neither did the ex-soldier who was in the bed next to me in the hospital last year, who had developed depression after 2 tours in Northern Ireland.

nor the old git who used to be my hairdresser, his Sherman tank was hit in 1944 killing half the crew, ie his 2 out of 4 of his best buddies....
