Generally, one good in maths are sucky at drawings. How can this be? VICE VERSA . .

I do recall hearing of a Leonardo de Vinci who was rahter good at art and science.

And Brian May (of Queen) has a masters in physics (possibly astrophysics)

And a quick web search can reveal MC Hawking but I think that may be a spoof, but is rather entertaining.

One can learn to be both creative and analytical. By nature the two seem to be mutually exclusive, but this isn't set in stone. If you look at it from a different perspective, programmers are required to have both an analytical mind as well as some measure of creativity for solving problems. You can still be a programmer without one or the other, but you won't be nearly as skilled. To answer your question, I can draw fairly well and I'm good at math. So yes.

But artistic ability... occasionally a maths/science guy will be good at art, but more often than not they won't.

I guess it depends on what you call art. Is architecture art? Are clean lines and solid shapes art? Is a person that is masterful at designing rooms and luxurious landscapes utilizing creative ability?

I think so... but in a lot of these cases, math and science comes into play quite heavily. I do not think it is a one in a million thing. I think most people have a degree of both, and either can be honed to be better if one chooses to do so....

Well, I know i'm the analytical/logical type as physics/maths/etc come naturally. I dont think you can get very far as a programmer without a logical mind. But I've written and novel and published poetry before. Whether its good or not is another story. I've also done all the music, sound FX, texturing, and 2D graphics for the game I've been working on the last 8 months (I left the 3D stuff to a pro). I'd have to say its possible to be both.

Seriously im really good at math. Im doing books for 9th grade even though im in 7th.
And the whole class admires my drawing so yes you can be both

Well, I'm a guitar player and programmer but I've heard that's not entirely uncommon as music is very math oriented. I used to be a pretty good artist when I was younger (before I started programming) but sadly I could only forge pictures (I had a hard time drawing things from scratch).
I was also an excellent athlete as well. I think it's possible for people to be very good at a great many things as long as they are exposed to them. I do people people have natural abilities to do some things better than others but I think we can all learn to perform at high levels if there exists enough interest in the activity (and guidance of course).

The theory of music is very mathematical. There are several of these theories. One of the greatest mathematicians ever, Leonhard Euler, wrote a theory of music. It was not very popular. It was too musical for mathematicians and too mathematical for musicians.

Everybody is in someway creative. When we were small we liked to do make paintings, perhaps make music etc. Some of us became scientists. Perhaps they don't have much time for creative things, I'm sure they still like it. So I don't think that being a scientific person can't be creative.

I would always class myself in the logical/scientific camp, however, I often suprise my very artistic wife with my drawings, my contribution to her garden designs etc.

I like art enormously, my wife and I are regulars at the various Copenhagen art galleries.

Am I alone in the scientific camp in thinking that the, for example, particle tracks in collider experiments are extremely attractive in their own right regardless of the information they contain? One of the "abstract artworks" we have on the wall is actually an colour coded proton/anti-proton anihilation.

well I can be fairly good at math if I am well taught, let's see I got a trophy in keyboard (meaning electronic piano) I was one of the best in my piano class while in middle school. That was way back when. I totally suck at drawing, and oh yeah I about programming I am working hard at it and plan to continue working hard, so that's fairly undecided so far.
