i would ask you to copyleft it instead. make it availiable for free. but in either case, you probably need to hire a lawyer to deal with that. i don't know what they charge.

Copy microsofts Copyright and License. That should cover everything and make you rich. We all want to be rich ..Right? Seriously I don't know how the copyright thing work. I only released one program and it was a free ware so I was only worried about the disclaimer and no warrenty. Sorry for spaming

I am not a lawyer, and I have not been trained to be a lawyer, so here is my nonexpert opinion. If you are serious about selling your computer game at retail stores, find an established computer game publisher; make certain to retain the copyright to the product (or, at least, co-ownership of the copyright) and to take a fair cut of the profits. If you want to sell your game as shareware, you could look for premade, boilerplate end-user license agreements (EULA's) for shareware developers or consult a lawyer (the more expensive route). If you "copyleft" your computer game, you retain the copyright; however, you have basically waived most of the rights that go with that to the general public.

Of course, you could always try to write your own end-user license agreement, but you would have to make sure to specifiy all the terms: the warranty (if any), legal disclaimers, end-user usage rights and duties (restrictions), etc. Going this route, unfortunately, may lead to an EULA that is unenforceable and invalid or that contains loopholes.

I still dont understand copyrights completely, how do I get something copyrighted, do I have to pay money to register it, or do I just put something like: "Mutt Game, copyright 2002 blah blah blah"? btw, I wouldnt be selling the game at stores or anything just have people order it online, but if I ever were to want to have it at stores, how would I do that, would I go to some big game company like accolade and they would take care of it and we (people that made the game) get a percent of whatever it makes?

Sorry if any of these are stupid questions, I just dont know anything about this sort of thing.

You can get a copyright from the US Library of Congress Copyright Office at http://www.loc.gov/copyright/. I think the cost is 30$ for a software program you wrote yourself.

stevey, you post reminded me of Da and that whole gender-crisis/extersion/joke/whatever_the_hell_you_wanna_call_it.

Ah well, another little trip down memmory lane

hey muttski, I'd try and go to the library, they'd have to have some info( form or something, if there is one) on it
if a contradiction was contradicted would that contradition contradict the origional crontradiction?
