    No using MS Frontpage on anti MS sites???!!??!?

    another good snipet from slashdot... this is part of the MS Frontpae End User License.

    "Microsoft Frontpage 2002" license on a four-page folded sheet, titled "End- User License Agreement For Microsoft Software." Under Section #1, Grant of License, the second paragraph headed "Restrictions" states in part: "You may not use the Software in connection with any site that disparages Microsoft, MSN, MSNBC, Expedia, or their products or services, infringe any intellectual property or other rights of these parties, violate any state, federal or international law, or promote racism, hatred or pornography."

    i'm sorry but this to me is just worth posting.

    well to late anyway huh...

    id like to see them enforce this though... can anyone say violation of my right to privacy, and my rights to free speech.

    Heh, I sent the link for that to my boss - this is what he said:
    Well, it wouldn't surprise me if it was true. MS's day of reckoning will come from the market.
    Also, I don't know how they could enforce such a clause. I mean, would they construe criticism as "disparaging"? What constitutes disparaging? The dictionary states that to disparage is "to speak of as unimportant or small, to reduce in esteem or rank." It seems ludicrous to me to try and impose such a restriction on a free people.
