As far as board games go I agree with chess being the best.

Chess is the most skilled board game around, "best" is somewhat subjective, personally chess is easily my favourite board-game.
To anyone who plays I recommend chessclub.com, they have automated lectures every hour on the hour, there are always GMs and IMs playing games that can be watched, and there is a rating system that allows you to choose to play people of about your own level.

I agree that chess is the best when it comes to strategy games, but there are other realy cool board games that dosen't requre u to remember a couple of hundred thousand rules and has way better design
