in my most general opinion, grunge sucks.

Pearl Jam was the only remotly decent group to come out of it.

    AGH!!

Out of the 4 big grunge bands in the early 90s (Nirvana, AIC, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam), PJ had to be the weakest link....

Nirvana were good, but SG & AIC produced some of the best music of the early 90s.....

Never thought AiC was that good. Soundgarden was okay, but
Nirvana.. Yeah, that's where it's at baby...

It's the best type of music. Self-loathing, feel-sorry-for-me poetry.

    Nirvana sucks ass.

    AIC, sucks ass.

    SG, sucks ass.

    PJ, sucks ass.

    conclusion, they all sucked ass.

let me clarify better, Pearl Jam had a much more positive effect on the music it inspired. Nirvana, AIC, and SG, spawned a more ripoff wanabes than anything else.

Pearl Jam's influence was a little more profound and wide spread. This can be said for SG somewhat as well, there kind of in he middle.

    thats all im say'en.

    hence the vote for pat.

    I completely disagree with no-one.
First of, I think they all rock.
Second, Pearl Jam inspired the seattle genre of rock. More rip-off or wanabe's came off of them than any other band I can think of. But when you think about it, most weren't rip-offs, they were just following a new genre. Same with those who you think followed Nirvana and the like. I don't care if they sound somewhat alike, good music is good music and good artists are good artists. So rock on.
