Cornflakes, a bar of chocolate and a can of Dr Pepper works every time.

The realization that if I attempt to sleep in and go in to work late my wife will make me get up with the kids! Aaaarrrggh!

Last week my hot wate system broke, right while I was taking a shower.
    That woke me up.
If you own a piece of land and there is an volcano on it and it ruins a
nearby town, do you have to pay for the property damage?

    Wow, that really sucks.

My way to get up is... I don't. I just go through 1st period at my school half asleep. The only solution (for me at least) is to wake up earlier and watch tv for a while.

my wife's cats claw at my back until i feed them. but, and here's the funny thing (if you define funny as reading a bloke write about his wife's cats), they don't start clawing until the woman/wife gets out of the shower about 7am. so from dawn until 7 these cats will sit calmly inches from my face and watch me sleep, not moving or twitching, just watching. it's really strange.

Bull - I was going to say the same thing, only it doesn't have to be the gf, any pretty lady will do the trick.
If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is around to see it, do the other trees make fun of it?

Then again, waking up the next morning with a stranger next to you is a quick way to wake up too (especially if she doesn't look like the girl from the night before).
