Do you still need a graphic card if you're just using something like dos?

    Hi,

If i'm not displaying any picrues or any GUI, for example, a CLI in linux or dos, do i still need a graphic card?

Or is there a built-in display adapter kind of thing inside the monitor?

    thnx

The monitor itself has no build in default. You need a graphics card, no matter how simple your picture is, even if it's only black and white text. However, for DOS you will only need a very cheap card. Not some powerful 3D anything card.

She was so Blonde, she spent 20 minutes looking at the orange juice can because it said "Concentrate."

When in doubt, read the FAQ.
    Then ask a smart question.
