maybe it's just me...

i know i'll get a biased answer at cprogramming.com, but here goes...

do you find that people are much angrier/worried about content? like the trix-christ thread. everyone gets riled when they see something that's demeaning to christ. when i saw that cartoon i immediately saw satire against the christian right. (for the record i thought the snickers ad was the snickers company making money off of mocking christ)

another thing is flag burning. i have never seen the flag as a supreme symbol. burning the flag is a symbol of disrespect toward the country, as showing it is a symbol of respect. no one's outrage over the treatment of a flag is worth sacrificing the right to burn it. if i hate america, i should be able to say it. (for the record, i don't)

another thing is pornography. why are groups trying to rid the world of it? efforts would be better spent convincing people to turn away from it. who cares if children see it?(not talking about child pornography, which i'm against.) i respect the first amendment above petty bickering from people who are for or against something. no one is being hurt by speech and expression.

so basicly, i'm looking for your opinion. would the world be better off if there was no flag burning, no demeaning pictures of christ, or pornography(please answer this one seriously)?
