From the links, which one does not work well with Netscape, the next seems like and ad for ad aware and the third which says
>>As for the spyware allegations, they're not true. Such reports amounted to nothing more than one of those urban legends that circulate around the Web. While its software does tell its server someone has seen one of its custom cursors -- they get paid based on these impressions -- it doesn't send any identifying information about the user back to the company.

How can I remove it from my system. I pops up in the registry, I deleted it from all of my *.ini files, uninstalled it, Shift+Deleted it from the Program files. I swear its like a freekin' virus.
do a search in the reg for it and del every instance
or use ADWARE the 1st link Brian gave

I hadn't given it much thought before now but I'm glad you guy's mentioned it here. I'm a network admin for about 120 systems and (thankfully) only 3 or 4 of my end-users use Comet Cursor. I hadn't really dug into it before.
Guess I get to go uninstall some puppy-dog (etc) cursors tomorrow.
First link, Lavasoft.de is the company which makes the free software, "ad-aware" this program removes spyware programs such as gator and comet cursor.Originally posted by novacain
