Hey is there any program that can make a folder password protected? That is no one could open the folder w/o the pass? It would not need to protect against experts, just annoying family.

There are a few good ones, but they generally will charge you for em. If you have windows xp, or another one using NTFS and are the administrator, you may be able to just change the access of some folders

just make sure that you don't use shareware cause you'll be screwed when your time runs out because you may not be able to access them AT ALL.

No their not. Shareware authors need to make a living. If you dont want to pay eventually, then dont use it when your time is epired

those search engines basically just give you shareware ones. you will almost have to know the name of the software before searching and then you'll find sites that have what you want

They are. Software should not be a money making thing, software should be free.

Bit controversial saying that on a programming board...

Yeah. Sure, people could donate money if they like your software. But why should we pay for something that doesn't exist?

Right.... but... when will they have time to write software? If people hadn't started paying for software written by professionals however many years ago, do you realize how much farther behind our current state of knowledge we'd be?
