    Angry Don't Use HP

13 months ago I bought a CD-RW for £120 ($170) made by Hewlett Packard. I haven't used it an excessive amount by anyone's standards but it is now bust. Over here in England, manufacturers warranties only last a year so I can't return it. My advice.....don't ever buy anything made by HP!!!!!!!

Anyone else want to have a rant about anything made by a supposed reputable company? If so go ahead......

I bought about two years ago an HP CD burner in England as well. It has always worked perfeclty.

BUT, the three systems I've "met" from HP were completely crap. Two of them were returned, and the owners just went to a different shop. The third one didn't have the option to change her system, but now she knows that she will not ever by an HP system.

I second the post about HP laser printers. The HP burners I have at my work been working flawless for 3-4 years now. Now,, there computers are something differnt. Did you know that one of there series was named kayak. Why would you name a computer after the most unstable wessel ever build?

Hehe - that's why AMD decided not to name its next chips "Titanic", "Edmund Fitzgerald", or "Andrea Doria".

I don't use much HP stuff, spare a printer, but my friend has a nice little HP laptop with an EIGHT HOUR BATTERY. I wanted to kill him and steal his battery, because my POS Toshiba has a 3 minute battery.

    >>EIGHT HOUR BATTERY

Do you mean a single battery?

I have had an HP CD-RW for a long time now and have had no problems whatsoever with it. I like HP a lot. They are very reliable.

HP printers are the only ones i'll use. I got an Epson and whenever I tried to print websites, I just got a blank page. Reinstalled the driver and checked the connections. It just randomly did it.
