Not a single one of these is an oxymoron....although taking this post into consideration, I'd have to say you were quite a spectacular oxymoron

crystal cola -- stretching it a bit
sonic boom -- ditto
oil well -- wells normally have water, oil is opposite of water(in my mind at least)
synthetic wood -- dang, what was i thinking?
fiberglass -- this is an oxymoron, isn't it? fiber and glass are two opposite things, but put together they mean something different

Didn't see that one coming a mile away... I will neither confirm nor deny its accuracy... Course, I haven't heard of many people trying to destroy Denver because they think Colorado should be its own country...

I don't care about Ireland, I believe they should do what they want.
BUT
United states - Hawaii? that is hardly united to the states.
If you mean physically, then yeah. What difference does that make?

it doesn't mean PHYSICALLY united.... and if you're going to pick on our physical unity, you better include Alaska...Originally posted by Brian

United states, they always shoot each other there.
More people die in America from shooting each other than northern ireland, and that's a war.
Great Britain refers to it's size [when we had the british empire with canada, australia, america etc] It has nothing to do with praise.
That's what we like to call "population control"... and how can you compare us to Northern Ireland? Do you have any sense of size relations? Despite the fact that they are having a war....Originally posted by Brian

It's not technically a war, but it seems like one, they have cease fires and whatnot.
