Well, it's not as if anyone's forcing you to. If you really want, you can just go somewhere else...

...and the beat goes on...and the beat...
Why me Lord? Why me? First you-know-who and now this.
A lousy hard drive failure. That's what it was. Guess they can't afford backups. Oh, well, what am I supposed to expect for $800
a year-eggnog, too?
Anyways, their support is verifying I am who I say who I am.
After that, they will look into why my control panel password
doesn't work, I think. Once I get access, I can reload the
web page and Fordy can reinstall the database. Fortunately,
we did a backup on March 2, so we won't lose too much info.
I had planned to backup tomorrow as part of a weekly backup scheme, but I guess that'll wait.
Want to hear something scary? The backup we did prior to
Mar. 2 was during the Chris thing. I think Fordy has that backup,
but I'm not even sure of that. And the backup we did on Mar. 2
was just a spur of the bored moment thing. I had nothing better
to do, si I decided it might be a good idea to learn how to do a
backup. Fordy thought it was a good idea, too. How true.
I just hope the backups are usable. Hang on. We should be back in a day or two, depending on how fast Tera-byte gets back
to me on this password thing. I've looked into replacing them
as web host while I have the chance, but I can't find another service that gives you as much as they do for the price. So I guess we'll stay with them.
Thanks for your patience and understanding. See you when I see you.
Oh, and Happy Birthday, ethic. Many more to you.

What, are you trying to say you had absolutely nothing to do with it, and ober and I are the big perverts? :shrugs: OK, I guess I can live with that.

something which has nothing to do with anything:
We can't bust heads like we used to, but we have our ways. One
trick is to tell 'em stories that don't go anywhere...like the
time I took the ferry over to Shelbyville. I needed a new
heel for my shoe, so I decided to go over to Morganville,
which was what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I
tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time.
Now to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days nickels
had pictures of bumblebees on them. "Give me five bees for a
quarter," you'd say. Now where was I? Oh yeah...the
important thing was that I had an onion tied to my
belt...which was the style at the time. You could not get any
white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could
get was those big yellow ones...
Yeah..Cprog.Motel, with the flashing neon sign and all. I
might as well stay a while myself. Those gd idiots at tera-byte
are like snails. I really wish I knew of a comparable web host.
I'd switch today.
