There should be but is not grave concerns with the UN. WE have the middle eat issue, we have the terrorism issue, the Kyoto issue, but where is the unity? The U.N. has failed to provide the citizens of the world with meaningful solutions.

The nations of the world are engaging in a path that leads to the destruction of our civilization. The flawed yet powerful former League of Nations, now United Nations has entrenched within it's own constitution the right of might. The all powerful security counsel has veto right to any and all proposals. There is no authority granted unto the U.N. that enables legislation. Since there is no real authority to legislate how is it that any credence can be given to the political machinery that costs the citizens of the world so much for so little benefit.

The concept of unity is sound, but the implementation was flawed. With the globalization of economies it is becoming apparent that it is the corporate not private citizen that has rights. The W.T.O. has determined that the right of a corporation to do business will not be impaired by the rights of the citizens of a nation. Any social benefit to citizens that impedes the profit of a corporation is deemed to be an unfair restraint on business and is prohibited by agreement of the signed nations.

We have gone from the rule of God to the rule of kings, then to the rule of governments and now the rule of corporations. Each change has been marked with horrific historical significance. You need only look to the protests against the W.T.O. to see the truth in this. It is not a question of where we are going, but a question of why we are going there at all. The quest for corporate profit knows no boundries. Greed is the great motivating factor.

If we are to survive we must learn to live with each other and help each other. We must help each other when in need, because we may need help in the same way someday. It is time to end violence and abuse. The nations and corporations must face the reality that both depend on the citizens. Those citizens must be respected and cared for. No citizen will begrudge a nation its right to rule or a corporation its right to conduct business. The citizen asks only that their living standards improve and their freedom is respected.

The United Nations grant none of these things to the citizens. They are no more than a forum from which politicians find publicity and the attention they crave.

For a long time it was alot of peoples choice to blame US for alot of the violence going on recently, but when the US got attacked it was the World Trade Centre that was hit. The symbol of WORLD capitalization and Corperate Profit.

If you want to comment on this you can or maby not I just posted it here because ive been stewing on the issue, i dont have a large number of friends who even care and it seems here some people have logical brains and it will get read.
