    Moderators

About once or twice a month someone PM or email's me requesting to become a modorator on the CProgramming.com message boards. When the new board software was first installed, it was decided that new moderators would be elected by the board community.

After serious discussion with the webmaster, we have decided that due to the numerous requests, we should attempt to discern the level of interest in electing new moderators.

Thank you for your input, Kermi3

Things seem to run pretty smoothly here. I can't think of a reason to change the moderator line-up (unless, of course, Govtcheez violates his parole and creates an opening).

Oh, and if anyone doesn't know (and I know this question's going to come up at least once), current mods are:

    Me
    kermi3
    doubleanti
    Salem
    adrianxw
    nvoigt
    lightatdawn

Also, the webmaster, as the only admin, has moderation powers.

This is an official thread on a board related topic so please do not go off on wild tangents. I have split the previous irrelevant posts onto another thread, such comments (particularly the funny ones) are welcome there, all others posted here will be deleted in order to try and stay reasonably on topic.

    Thanks a lot

If we were to add a mod or two, I'd vote for Fordy and Stoned Coder...

Eh, if I were elected I'd probably just turn down the offer anyhow. I think everything's running just fine, and there's absolutely no reason to change things around (although some dissolute newbies would beg to differ)

Maybe we should decide whether or not the people who pm'd kermi should be mods, since nobody else seems to estatic at the prospect of becoming one themselves...

So, muppet - who PMed you?

If we have elections and I get voted in by the community then I will do it but i'm not exactly falling over myself to be a mod. Sure the idea of turning cheez's posts pink sounds like fun but I think there are others more deserving.... Prelude or SorenZen would get my vote.

Various people, they know who they are. Some are new to the board, others are well known. But it's been enough to open debate.

I would love to be a mod, but the boards are running smoothly, and we dont have a need for more mods right now, so I am content with not being one for the moment.
