CRC is an error checking method.
My first guess would be that the files are corrupt.

Could be that you have opened a type of file stating NullSoft as the default opener for that particular file type, hence when trying to install something else, the system sees the file type, and helpfully runs the wrong program, which then quite rightly says the installation is not a valid NullSoft application.
