I've only had 3.1 and 98. 3.1 took like 10 min to boot up and took 5 min to start word. Hence, 98 seems best.

Brian you seem to be a troubled child.
Indeed, and from your post you seem to be somebody who enjoys eating cheese and watching television at midnight whilst hitting his own head repeatedly with a yellow mallet which he named "fred" on the fifth of February because Fred is a name for both boys and girls.

You know, you can't actually tell anything about anybody from what they wrote on a message board, unless you know their intentions, which is impossible, unless you are them.

Question Ok then, I have a question

I have 98 SE and am soon to be getting XP Pro. Should I change to XP, stick with 98 SE or give up all together and change to Linux

Not everyone can use windows programs for free.

If you want a program that everyone can use, make it for Linux. Everyone can get linux for free, and so everyone can use it.
