    I don't usually mind ads since I don't perceive them anyway... But in this case, the Flash app is doing something which causes my cursor to blink like crazy in a seizure-inducing way.
    Code:
    //try
    //{
    	if (a) do { f( b); } while(1);
    	else   do { f(!b); } while(1);
    //}

    What annoys me is that now I have to scroll down on every page, where before the pertinent info was right where the spam is now. It's really really ugly, and now cboard is just like every other programming site on the net.

    So we went from a problem with a spammer to a problem of having to look at spam all the time. I don't see the benefit of updating the code...

    I don't know where you were the past few years but as far as I remember the "ads by google" was always there, it just wasn't a visual banner, it was a text banner. As I said in the other post, I could care less because I do believe that bandwidth and domain licencing costs suck significantly more and I sympathize with the site owner. The banner itself is about 90px. If you keep your browser open at any reasonable resolution, this should not intrude on your viewing to any significant level.

    Its the motion too, btu i run at 1680x1050 and they take up 15% of the screen. The ads by google didnt have retarded animation trying to draw my eye to them. They also didn't have intrusive color schemes. Bandwidth isnt that expensive, You can get a couple terrabytes for around $20 a month.

    I hate all spam, obviously, but I usually don't even notice it anymore. I didn't even know anything changed on this board until I read this post. My visual cortex has developed its own spam filter.

    I almost never notice ads on any site, probably because of this.

    I've attached the version I use.

    I'm almost grateful. I totally empathize with this "FULL SAIL" guy, even tho to be honest I've never had the attention span for video games. The brochure is in the mail.

    You should switch to "Ice Weasel" or something, then it's all just THE JOKER ???

    Any browser that lets you include a custom CSS file should work. I've never tried chrome so I don't know.

    I'm not seeing anything in any of the pages I visit here. I guess it's because I'm using NoScript and haven't allowed any google stuff?

    Well the MPUs have gone from the first post in each thread for now, which is nice as they were the only thing that was annoying me. I dont know why advertisers want to use them so much as they never seem to fit nicely into any website, unless, perhaps, the template was designed to hold them.
