When you win a free coffee, does that include those expensive specialty coffees or just regular coffees?

I've never tried using the Tim Horton's rims to get a free coffee at Country Style, so I'm not sure if they still do it. You could always try it and see. I had to stop drinking coffee a while ago because it was just making me sweat like crazy in my ridiculously overheated office.

I wonder if they're doing the Roll up the Rim promotion for the handful of Tim Hortons in the U.S. or if it's only in Canada?
I know in the U.S. Tim Hortons, their cup sizes are 1 size bigger than in Canada, so it's probably not worth it to print up special cups just for the few Tim Hortons in the U.S.

Yes but the inner bottom of the cup is actually an inch higher. Americans are slightly harder to fool and hence that much more deceptive, as has been widely recognized.

Double chocolate timbits are certainly the ONLY thing to miss about T.O. And this one dollar pizza place on the Danforth.

Yep! I asked for another coffee, and she said I could have anything; any size.... I was left a bit dumbfounded, trying to think of a good way to say "give me your most expensive coffee" :P

I think U.S. locations are included in the deal.. I read somewhere about misgivings over US winners.

Possibly because they are all in Buffalo, which is very economically depressed, so those people may already be doing this.

There's definitely no way they could have authentication on the smaller prizes: as Perspective points out, most people just present scraps - not even authentic-able other than by eye.

Selling it on ebay would just compromise the operation. The incentive is more along the lines of the "free coffee for a year" prize. There's no cash equivalent, but the prize itself might be enticing enough to invest in producing fake rims (net cost probably works out to less than $100).

Haha, I've seen those, a co-worker brought one in too. Personally, I just use good ol' enamel.

They're actually rolled pretty tight. I usually have to squish the cup together to unroll it.
