Can you not do it through another uni "off-campus"? That's what many people do who live in the country, at least here anyway.
That way you never need to go anywhere, and for exams just apply to do them elsewhere.

I have a friend in their software engineering program. The workload I heard is crazy, but apparently he enjoys it. It's an extremely competitive program to get in from high school (>95% avg required).

That graph is fantastic -- as people realize that Linux is an equivalently-functional system to their traditional UNIX choices, they are switching to it rapidly. I can only assume that it's due to Linux being open source, and that's exactly what you want when you are putting together a custom OS to run on custom hardware.
I also like how Windows is barely even on the chart.
