For me, the 80's.
Some of my fave artists from that era:
Roxette, Alice Cooper, Madonna, Cindi Lauper, Belinda Carlisle, Michael Jackson, Richard Marks, MC Hammer, Bobby Brown, New Kids on the Block, Bon Jovi, Phil Collins, The Bangles.

Roxette almost it for the 80's, but I'd have to say that 2000+ has produced the best music for my taste.
70's, 80's & 90's are good.

I'm gonna say 90's, because that's when most of my favourite bands came to be (Placebo, The Flaming Lips, Manic Street Preachers, Rage Against the Machine, Modest Mouse). But there's been some good stuff coming from this decade as well.

Nobody voted for 1900 yet? That's shocking.

Looks like we got a big Classical music fan here.
I personally voted the 70s. I like a lot of 60s, 80s, and 90s music, but the 70s in my opinion trumps it all. The Eagles, James Taylor, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Black Sabbath, Harry Chapin, Billy Joel, Kansas, Boston... I think I could go on for a while.

I think the equasion for this answer is ((iBirthYear-1900)/10)*10+20 . But then again, that doesn't apply for people under 20 years of age.

I voted 70s for classic rock but this decade has bred the heaviest bands ever (Dillinger Escape Plan, Protest the Hero, Human Abstract, Unearth, Bring Me The Horizon, Trivium ...) and I definitely like that too.
mathcore?? Do they write songs about calculus or something?

Ahah ! Actually, this genre is all about making the most intense music: both in the sense of being really hard music and really really really technical. Also, disonant chords (most often contains a minor 2nd interval) are abused which enforces the heaviness / stress of the songs.
