Although I don't really like MS, I think it will probably be Windows 2022.

What will people do if they find that it's true?

What AOL bought out linux? This is truly sad. I know Brian how you are a really Linux fan, let me tell you the only reason why I don't use RED HAT 7.5 which I have is because I can't go online with it.

VR OS most likely. Windows won't be around in 20 years.

Probably Microsoft, if they continue improving.......just maybe....like XP which has gotten to be a better windows in my opinion than the ones before it, I am not even sure which one is better XP or Linux.

In 20 years, I doubt that the PC will even exist. Think about it, 20 years ago, what did computers amount to. Now think of how the growth of computers has been exponential. So, technology will continue to grow even faster soon. The only restriction will be a lack of ideas. Personally, I think that in 20 years the tv will be the computer which will have a huge screen, and the comp will be connected to many other things in your house. Also, portable versions will become comercially available and will be connected via satelite or some other technology. Basically, ignore my whole post b/c it is impossible to predict the future.

I think ToasterOS will be just it... but then again, those things have broken on me more times than any OS, I killed a couple just during the last month or so... it will be fun to get food from one though

Being more serious, I think that MS will probably still be the more common OS around, just because of all the every day users right now... people will likely stick to it...

PS - This is my first post on the forum this year... haven't been around for a long time now...

maybe windows will take over macintosh, and will be left with MS mac... or maybe there will be a "software war" and all pc will have there own OS... or maybe aliens will blow up earth, leaving no pc.. or maybe...

Um...Redhat linux 7.2 is the latest version.
    There is no 7.5

And it's called AOL Redhat Linux because AOL is in talks with buying redhat "apparently".

You probably can't connect to the internet with it because you have a WinModem, they're like cyborgs (half-human half-machine) well winmodems are half-windows half-machine. You need software to run them. You need a decent modem if you want to use Linux.

Possibly CheezOS (and companion student version CheetOS), if I ever bust out MMURTL

Also, AOL couldn't have "bought Linux", since Linux isn't a company... They're in talks of buying Red Hat, which is merely a distributor.
