    a recent ms documentation?

I have a real old Win32 CHM help file that I use all the time when I'm off-line, it has helped me quite a bit. But I don't have one for any DX or other MS libraries. Being that the documentation is from 2001 it's help is somewhat limited.
Is there a place where I can download a RECENT copy of the FULL Microsoft developers documentation?

or more specifically: for online documentation, or I belive you can install an MSDN doc application by downloading one of these:

Unfortunately, it's not going to be that easy.
The entire msdn docs borders on about 2 GB worth of help data. There just isn't a .chm file available that contains everything.
I'm currently trying to compress everything using 7z, but so far it seems it won't help much. You'll have to be prepared to download the entire package perhaps.

Results are 1.99 GB (compressed) vs 2.08 GB (uncompressed).

Its worth it to have the docs, however. So as much as I hate wastes of hard drive space and despise microsoft, and hate downloading documentation (since it wastes bandwidth that could be used more usefully), do it.
