I have NO idea as to why I decided to type in cprogramming.com in my browser tonight, but this is absolutely awesome! After browsing for a few minutes, I wondered if my old login would still work, it did! And the site told me "You last visited: 11-16-2003 at 11:53 PM."

My God it's been a while. Especially in the utter rapid fluidity of internet time.

Salem and Laserlight are the only two people I saw posting from the "old" days. Sadly, the only reason I recognized Laserlight was b/c of her avatar (thanks for not changing it ). But I couldn't possibly forget Salem. I knew who this poster was even before my eyes slid down to the avatar that continuously nukes void main. It was after reading Salem's post on int main that I started using it exclusively.

And then I searched for some of my old posts. A mistake as seeing them made me insanely embarrassed. There is no way I could've posted those.... Someone else got into my account and posted 400 of those 800+ posts! I swear!

But I digress.

I'm so glad this place is still alive, well and continues to be a valuable resource for anyone in this field. I guess I've left the world of programming almost completely. Unless of course you count those two line Bash scripts I tend to write once in a blue moon. But I'll never argue that's programming. I don't think I regret leaving this world and going into something completely different, but I don't think I would've regretted staying here either. If that makes any sense.

Well, I tend to babble when I'm down a memory lane, and I think I've babbled enough. So before I go, I'd like to say welcome to the 20,000 or so new members that seemed to have joined the site since the last time I was here: If you haven't figured it out yet, allow me to tell you, you're in for a treat. And if you've already figured that part out, just wait. It only gets better!

PS: seriously, that was my signature?? Oh man, who was I back then?
