    Who should rule the world?

TS Eliot thought Catholics should rule the world; Bill Gates appears to think he should rule the world.

Nietzsche thought history's purpose is to produce great men. Great men often want to rule the world.

So, who should be in charge? What doctrines should be followed; what ideologies do you advocate? Do you believe truth is the highest priority or is happiness supreme? Neither, perhaps?

What is the role of tradition, the individual, and suffering? If your ideal world includes suffering, is that because you are unable to prevent suffering or unwilling to prevent suffering?

What about style and substance? Which is more important?

Do you agree with Heinlein that world that requires ID cards is too full? With rational anarchy?

When you swim through the flow of thoughts through history, what do you avoid and what do you seek out?

How does your answer reveal insight into your personality? Can you draw conclusions from your own analysis of a situation? Is your own analysis of a situation only important because of what it reveals in you?
I was born; I shall die. Between those two events there is life. I don't know why, and I don't question it; I merely live.

You sound like my English Lit teacher. He thought he had been an Asyrian prince in a past life and taught us transendental meditation.

    To paraphrase Douglas Adams.

"The lizards who want to rule the planet should never be allowed to do so and the lizards that don't, should be made to."
"Man alone suffers so excruciatingly in the world that he was compelled to invent laughter."
    Friedrich Nietzsche

"I spent a lot of my money on booze, birds and fast cars......the rest I squandered."
    George Best

"If you are going through hell....keep going."
    Winston Churchill

She was so Blonde, she spent 20 minutes looking at the orange juice can because it said "Concentrate."

When in doubt, read the FAQ.
    Then ask a smart question.
