Have you noticed why most teens start drinking/using drugs during high school?
That's because life gets boring. When you're 8 years old everything is fun. When you're
16 and its a Friday what do you do? Play toy guns? No, you go to a party and get wasted because 90% of your life is boring.
Drugs and alcohol fill in that "boring" gap that keeps stretching farther and farther.
If you're one of those guys who really don't like beer (I am) you should try that Smirnoff Lemonade stuff. It's beer but it tastes exactly like lemonade with none of that bitter beer taste.I don't. I have never gained a taste for alcoholic beverages with the notable exception of a martini every once in a long while. I also have (probably because of that) a very low tolerance for alcohol.
I do drink a beer on occasion; if it's very hot, I'm feeling thirsty and everyone else around me is doing it. But I cannot say I enjoy it. On the contrary, I don't like the taste. The thirst just helps blend it. Last year I can safely say I drank two beers and 1 martini. Because of that, voted occasionally.

I am 16. And I can have a lot of fun without alcohol. For example last weekend I swimmed on a little island nearby with my friends and did a lot of wicked funny things there. It was in an inactive strip mine where there were funny things like wet clay fields (slippery and slimy... but funny) and little "rivers" on sand slopes.
