    Languages

    How many languages do you all know? What is a good language to learn after C++?

    Java is pretty similar (and should be pretty quick).
    Or PERL, it's a very versitile scripting language.

    Once you learn how to program in general, learning another language comes very quickly.

    I'd learn some VB and C# to use with Microsoft's .NET, because it's really helpful and fast to be able to use multiple languages to make a project.

    Qbasic
    Vbasic
    C++
    HTML (if that's really considered a language)
    English
    A little Espanol

    I would suggest learning a -little- bit of assembly, just for the sake of having some concrete idea of how computers actually work.

    If you know C syntax you can make it anywhere.

    Mixing languages with MSIL seems more of a way to make a mess than a way to make better programs. It reminds me of bestiality.
    I was born; I shall die. Between those two events there is life. I don't know why, and I don't question it; I merely live.
