    Well there's two stances you can take:

    1) Rude can be defined out of context
    2) Rude is a matter of interpretation unique to each individual

    Either way, this thread started out as suggesting that this forum was no place for fraternizing with your fellow programmer and is now somehow the proving grounds for a semantic debate on the word rude!
    What is C++?

    Not at all... what we are arguing is what would be acceptable to be considered "rude," "not polite," "bad behavior," or whatever you wish to call it. The issue is that those who are too important to waste their time reading what people are posting (who just happen to be the same people that are "too important to reply to their PMs;" Not you Mario) seem to believe that if you don't completely agree with them, then you must be completely against them. As it has been said... there is a moderate stance in this issue and I've already established myself to it.

    That said... I'm pretty much done with this discussion as it's been completely worn thin and has become nothing but direct attacks and bickering. I haven't ignored the people I don't agree with... only those who put no value in the opinions of themselves of others.
