No Thanks. Until its a hologram, I think game graphics have gotten about as realistic looking as they are going to.
    Oh please!

I guess we won't need more than 640kb RAM either? Those kinds of statements never turn out to be true...

Some time ago, I also did a re-run on Planescape Torment. I should finish it again someday.
I'm thinking of playing Knights of the Old Republic 2 again, too.

That surely brings back memories! I don't have it any more. One of the few oldies that got missing from my collection (probably lend it to someone who never returned it). I still have disks dating as far back as Pool of Radiance, which don't work anymore

Awsome game anyways. Torment was awesome storytelling.

It sure was. Pretty darn cool with its story. One of the best up to date, I think.

I believe so too. As far as RPGs are concerned, the best storytelling was in Planescape Torment. And since we are on the subject, on FPS it's my opinion we still need to experience a better storytelling than System Shock 2. That game really proved there can be more to pure FPS than blind shooting. Well, in fact the character choices at the beginning and the way you were forced to play them is enough evidence of this fact.

Hehehe, well I don't like FPS at all, so I can't say anything there.

You should give system shock 2 a try one day. The story was awesome and with many twists, Shyamalan-type. I would say however that System Shock, the first, would need to be played in order to better understand and appreciate the story in 2.

But if you don't like the genre anyways, probably not worth it anyways. I know how it goes. Everyone tries to convince me Oblivion is awesome RPGing and... there's no convincing me. I don't like that style of RPG.

Well, I don't like the genre at all. I always playing in 3P with Oblivion.
I don't know if to call Oblivion an RPG, though... it's more like an adventure.

It'd say it fits the definition of an RPG pretty perfectly. Perhaps you feel this way because you're just used to turn-based RPGs?

I pretty much just play Crysis right now... download/play user created levels (some good/some bad) from crysis-maps.com. I've got an XBox 360 that I haven't touched in almost a year.

No, I mainly say it because there's just no options to select.
You can't choose the attitude of your character.
If you choose to be bad, you can kill people you shouldn't and they'll never revive.
Oblivion limits you a lot in these things.
And I don't really feel like it's an RPG either... it feels more like an adventure.

Very true! Many things these days are called RPG for no other reason than... well, I've seen DOOM III being called an RPG on IGN once... So I don't even know why they do it.

Many games have diluted being no longer true to this or that specific genre. All it needs is to have a little background story and some character interaction to become an RPG, which is in my opinion a mistake.

On the other hand, the technology evolved so much (on par with the medium where games are distributed) that it allows very many different things to be put into one single game, that the mistake is probably trying to label them with a genre.
